Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at Wakehurst Public School! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Throughout the year, we mark key occasions like ANZAC Day, Harmony Day, NAIDOC Week and Book Week—celebrating diversity, history and community. These shared moments help strengthen our inclusive and connected school culture.
Our Student Representative Council (SRC) plays an active role in school life. Each term, SRC members support a chosen charity and help lead events that promote student voice, build community spirit and encourage leadership in action.
Project Based Learning brings students together across grades to explore real-world questions. Working in teams, they collaborate, think critically and present their findings—building skills in creativity, communication and confidence.

"I value the school leadership and integrity. My son is excited to get to school... the fact that he feels comfortable and enthusiastic is testament to how the school values him as a person' — Wakehurst Public School parent - 2025
