Canteen
The Wakehurst Public School canteen provides healthy, affordable food options for students and operates five days a week. Run by the P&C and supported by a paid canteen manager and parent volunteers, the canteen offers a variety of fresh and nutritious choices. Our WPS canteen has a strong focus on environmental sustainability, swapping out single-use plastics and opting for items with fully recyclable or compostable packaging.
Canteen opening times
Our canteen is open daily during school terms. Parents are warmly encouraged to volunteer and be part of the canteen team. The menu focuses on healthy options and meets NSW Healthy School Canteen guidelines.

Want to volunteer?
Volunteering in the canteen is a great way to connect with the Wakehurst Public School community. Mums, dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles are all welcome—it’s a friendly space to meet others and support the school. Whether you can help weekly, fortnightly or monthly, we’d love to have you on board (and so would the kids!).
