At Wakehurst Public School, time is set aside each Wednesday for SRE and SEE.
Year 3 - 6 10:05 - 10:35am
Years K-2 10:45 - 11:15am
The program is delivered by approved providers who train volunteers to teach the lessons. All volunteers have verified Working with Children Check clearances, are cross referenced on the Department’s database and have confirmation that they have met relevant requirements under the Act. They are trained and supported by their approved organisation. The curriculum they deliver has been authorised by the Department.

Ethics classes
Weekly half hour ethics classes delivered by Primary Ethics volunteers are available for students in some year groups.
If you do not wish your child to attend SRE, they will attend Non-Scripture. Students who attend Non-Scripture can read or complete quiet, independent activities.
Your child will continue in the same arrangement each year, unless you request a change in writing. At any time you have the right to change your nomination or withdraw your child from the nominated lessons. Any notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE/SEE should be sent in writing to the school office.
